In certain circumstances, our clients may benefit from a design-build approach to their project. In this model, Tectonica retains all consultants, prepares the building design and construction drawings based on the client’s functional programme and budget, obtains all necessary permits and approvals, secures financing, and constructs the project, all at our own expense. On completion, the project is transferred to you, the owner, for the cost agreed to in the contract.
This method of construction is less common than it once was but remains a strong option when project circumstances dictate. This model would be investigated on a case by case basis to ensure that our client develops a thorough understanding of the risks and benefits of this form of construction compared to the other more conventional approaches.
