Acting as the Project Manager and Construction Manager, Tectonica lead the design team through a value analysis process that identified a unique opportunity to complete the required seismic upgrade in a way that provided additional unplanned value for money.
By developing a construction concept that proposed the majority of the seismic upgrading be completed from the exterior of the building, Tectonica was able to include a building envelope upgrade and roofing replacement within the project without additional costs.
Interior renovations to improve operational efficiencies and remediation of known hazardous building materials were also achieved in the project in a way that achieved increased value for money. Tectonica’s unique blend of professional and industry experience resulted in a client-centric approach ensured that the Department remained 100% operational throughout construction.
