Located at 463 Hirst Avenue in Parksville, this multifamily development concept centered on the idea of creating homes with two equally impressive primary bedrooms with spacious closets and ensuite washrooms where two people can live together without compromise.   The project has a total of 20 units in 6 separate buildings with13 single story and 7 two story dual primary suite units.  Upgraded sound separation between units, customizable heating and cooling system with multiple temperature zones and high end finishes set these homes apart in quality and style.  The exterior design features included stucco, stone, hardi plank and PVC chosen to combine both asthetics and low maintenance products to suit the long term goals of the strata complex.

Tectonica worked closely with the developer to achieve the project goals.  It was important to the owners to take an environmental approach to the site preparation process and ongoing construction. The team worked with Unbuilders to deconstruct the existing homes on the property allowing for the recycling and re-use of nearly 90% of the existing materials vs demolishing the homes and sending the debris to the landfill.  Tectonica guided the developer through supply and labour challenges throughout the 2 year life span of the project with regular budget and timeline updates allowing for appropriate decision making to occur.
